About Mark’s Midfield Musings
Sports are more fun when you have opinions about them.
Mark’s Midfield Musings is my place to write about two versions of football I spend far too much time watching: college football and the English Premier League.
I’m less interested in simply repeating scores and headlines than in the things that make a game interesting — coaching decisions, tactics, unexpected performances, strange moments, great plays, questionable ones, and occasionally a uniform that deserves comment.
The name fits both sides of the site. Whether it’s the middle of an American football field or the center of a soccer pitch, midfield is where a lot of the game gets decided.
This isn’t a news organization, and I’m not pretending to be a credentialed reporter. It’s commentary from a fan: sometimes a quick thought posted while a game is still being played, sometimes something longer after I’ve had time to think about it.
Expect college football, Premier League football, occasional detours into the wider sports world, and whatever else seems worth musing about.
Thanks for reading.
